What is the AmaZing Childcare History?
In the Fall of 2010 a vision to provide child care services to families in the west end of Louisville developed in a young woman’s mind. Rodnika Floyd opened AmaZing Children Learning Center (ACLC) in her home October 2010. A passionate first time professional caregiver saw the need for her child care services grow and required her first staff member in 2011 as she served families at a maxed capacity. In the Fall of 2013, ACLC out grew its home structure and became a licensed facility serving 22 families on 6th and Oak in downtown Louisville. Rodnika’s vision enhanced to serve the not only the west end, but all of downtown Louisville. In order to serve this large demand and growing waiting list, in June 2014 ACLC moved into its central location at 6h and Breckinridge in the business district of downtown Louisville, serving at a 110 capacity center.
At this point Rodnika saw her vision get even larger as she felt called to serve he entire city of Louisville especially hard-to-reach and hard-to-teach children and families. She partnered with two individuals who shared her vision and matched her drive and passion. Together Darrin Lee Jr. and Victor Rice built on the foundation Rodnika began to provide quality child care and family services. In May 2015, ACLC secured its second location in the Dixie and Cloverleaf area. ACLC II a non-profit corporation opened its doors and began serving children and families August 2015. Next in June 2015, ACLC secured its third location in the downtown area inside the International Mall. ACLC III a for-profit diversity and immersion project opened its doors September 2015.

What is your Early Education & Learning Programs Overview?
Programs & Curriculum
Early Education & Learning Programs Overview
We structure our early childhood education curriculum around four key elements of development to ensure the growth of the whole child, from infant to age 12. They are:
Your child will communicate with others verbally and nonverbally to engage the world around them. Your child will make new friends and gain the confidence, self-esteem, and negotiating skills necessary for a lifetime of healthy relationships.
Children will enjoy a safe, nurturing “home away from home” where they can learn to express themselves and understand their own unique identities. Your child will gain the comfort and confidence to forge trusting relationships, value their individuality, and have fun just being himself.
We focus on the physical health and well-being of your child so he grows up safe and strong. Motor-skill development, coordination, mobility, and exercise all help ensure your growing child has a healthy body for a lifetime.
Our early education programs help build brain power by supporting the development of judgment, perception, memory, reasoning, critical thinking, and language through a series of age-appropriate cognitive activities. Reading, writing, and math are important and children learn by experiencing the world around them.
