    MLK Day (closed 01/18/2016)

    Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a day to talk about cooperation, acceptance, peace and caring for all people. Our celebration of this national holiday will include art making, reading and Circle Time for children to learn the social skills of being together as a large group AND to learn more about Martin Luther King, Jr's legacy of peace and equality.

    Don't forget to correct your clocks on Sunday so you will be on time for Monday! On Monday, student will practice reading the time on analog and digital clock faces as well as fascinating books and art making exploring the astronomy of solstice and equinox.

    Cinco de Mayo

    In honor of the Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo, we can do fun activity that reflects the Mexican tradition. We will be reading about all the fun ways to celebrate with food, art and maybe even learn a few new words in Spanish!

    Happy 4th of July! We will be celebrating with tissue paper fire works (no real fire, just confetti) and patriotic treats on the Friday before the holiday.

    We will have a holiday feast for lunch and the close early by 5pm so our families and staff can enjoy the holiday at home.

    We will have a holiday feast for lunch on Thursday with our students, then the center will be closed until the 27th so our families and staff can enjoy the holiday at home.
